New Delhi, Oct 17: Legendary India bowler and current Head Coach of the Indian cricket team, Anil Kumble, is celebrating his 46th birthday.
'Jumbo' power: Anil Kumble appointed as India's new Head Coach
Jumbo, he is fondly called, is India's most successful bowler in Tests as well as ODIs.
The tall Karnataka spinner was always hailed for his astute knowledge of the game, dogged determination and commitment to excellence during his playing days.
When a 19-year-old Kumble made his his Test debut back in 1990 at the Old Trafford in Manchester, his performance largely went unnoticed as there was a 17-year-old teenager, who scored the first of his 100 international hundreds.
The greatest moment in Test cricket for Kumble obviously will remain his 'Perfect 10' - 10/74 - against Pakistan at the Feroz Shah Kotla. He is only the second player in the history of the game after Jim Laker to have achieved such a feat.
Jumbo ended his 18-year career with 619 Test and 337 ODI wickets and has now donned the role of India's chief coach.
Several India cricketers took to Twitter to wish Kumble on his birthday. Here's who greeted Kumble and how:
