Indore, Apr 4: Overwhelmed with India winning the ICC World Cup, a newly set up executive committee of the Indore Divisional Cricket Association (IDCA) has decided to open a cricket academy and work on a master plan to boost and strengthen the game among young players.
The decision was taken at the first meeting of IDCA under the presidentship of Kailash Vijayvergiya, who is also Industry Minister of Madhya Pradesh, at Nehru Stadium yesterday, IDCA Secretary Amitabh Vijayvergiya said today.
International-level experts would be hired to coach the youngsters so that IDCA could produce high quality cricket players for the country, he said.
Besides, a master plan on various games activities including cricket would be framed for the next two years, he said.
