Besides investing an undisclosed amount of equity, Yuvraj will also be the 'brand ambassador' of Gurgaon-based Cybiz BrightStar Restaurants Pvt Ltd, the Indian franchisee of Carl's Jr.

While keeping in mind the taste buds of Indian food lovers, the restaurant will feature a special "Indian palate" menu that will include vegetarian options, beer and soft beverages bar, Business World reported.

"The vertical of Quick Service Restaurant (QSR), especially burgers, caught my attention in the last few months as the space has got a thumbs-up from Indian consumers. What Carl's Jr. offers in terms of its menu offering is unique and something that I relate to as an individual", Yuvraj was quoted saying as to the VCCircle.

Sam Chopra, chairman of Cybiz Corp, was quoted saying as, "With our expansion plan of opening 100 outlets in 10 years across metros and Tier 1 & 2 cities, we aim at raising Rs 180-200 crore in the next couple of years."

International celebrities like Paris Hilton, Kim Kardashian and Padma Laksmi, have been associated with the burger chain for a long time.

Earlier, Cybiz raised $2 million from Delhi-based Now Foods.

Last month, Yuvraj picked up a stake in JetSetGo, an online marketplace for jets and helicopters, TOI reported.

Earlier this year, Yuvraj's start-up company YouWeCan Ventures had invested an undisclosed amount in mobile beauty and wellness platform Vyomo, in a seed funding round.

YouWeCan has also invested in Cartisan, Healthians, Edukart and Moovo.
