New Delhi, Aug 14: MS Dhoni, Amitabh Bachchan, Sania Mirza, Virendra Sehwag and many other celebrities posted their selfies on micro-blogging site Twitter with the hashtag #SaluteSelfie.

The hash tag has been trending on Twitter since Thursday, Aug 13. Beginning from aam-aadmi (common man) to celebrities, all have been posting their images.

#SaluteSelfie was an initiative Reliance Group to pay tribute to Indian Army on Independence Day. More than 10,000 #SaluteSelfies have been posted so far.

This was an initiative to make Indian Army and other forces feel special and important. Independence Day is one of the ideal times to let the jawans know that they matter.
