Bengaluru, August 24: South Africa's Test captain Faf du Plessis will lead a World XI that will tour Pakistan in Septemeber. The World XI will play three T20 games in the country.
Players from South Africa, England, Australia, New Zealand, Sri Lanka and West Indies are named in the eleven. Former Zimbabwe captain and England coach Andy Flower will be the coach of the team.
Pakistan have been largely isolated in international cricket after terrorists attacked visiting Sri Lankan team in near Gaddafi stadium in Lahore in 2009.
Seven Lankan players - Kumar Sangakkara, Ajantha Mendis, Thilan Samaraweera, Tharanga Paranavitana, Chaminda Vaas, Mahela Jayawardene, Suranga Lakmal - sustained injuries during that ambush.
Since then no international teams visited Pakistan and even they had to shift home base to Dubai.
