From Twitter: Fans celebrate as MS Dhoni hits 92* in 2nd ODI

Indore, Oct 14: "Captain Cool" MS Dhoni hit an unbeaten 92 against South Africa in the 2nd ODI here at Holkar Stadium today and his fans celebrated and used the opportunity to slam the critics, on social media.

In recent time, Dhoni has been in tremendous pressure. There has been criticism of his batting and also captaincy. Many felt he should give up the captaincy to Virat Kohli. However, Dhoni has answered in the best possible way today.

Dhoni plays a shot on way to 92 not out

On Wednesday, with India in trouble at 82/3 in 18 overs, Dhoni came out to bat and when he left the playing arena he had scored a magnificent 86-ball 92 not out (7x4, 4x6). Thanks to Dhoni's 60th ODI half century, India had a fighting total - 247/9 in 50 overs.

The 34-year-old Dhoni, who has millions of followers on social media and outside as well, gave plenty of reasons for his fans to celebrate.

Former cricketers also praised Dhoni for batting well under pressure. VVS Laxman, Aakash Chopra, Sanjay Manjrekar and Tom Mooday took to Twitter to appreciate the knock.
