In the book "The Cricket Fanatic's Essential Guide" by Vimal Kumar ahead of World Cup 2015, Dhoni said he never thought he would cry after the win but he did.

"In the dressing room, everyone was crying. And everybody means everybody - all the 15 players, the support staff and everyone else associated with the team. In that sense, we really connected in the World Cup," Dhoni has said in the book, according to reports in the media on Thursday.

"I never thought I would cry after a win, but we all did. The world can't see those emotions of the players because you don't have the footage of that, but it summed up the mood of that night," Dhoni added.

This year's World Cup will be hosted by Australia and New Zealand from February 14 to March 29. India's opening game is against Pakistan in Adelaide on February 15.
