By Staff

New Delhi, Jul 27 (UNI) The Indian Cricket League (ICL) today announced its camp for the forthcoming season starting on July 28 at Bangalore.

The camp, to be held under the guidance of ICL High Performance Director Jock Campbell, will see the ICL introduce specialized training in aspects of the game like throwing and sprinting, by roping in international experts Zane Allan Campbell (Sprint Coach) and Mathew James Buckley (Specialist Throwing Coach).

Maintaining a hawk-eye view over the proceedings, ICL-India coach Steve Rixon will be fine tuning the cricketing skills of the young domestic players.

''Maintaining the high standards of cricket while maintaining the spirit and integrity of the game is of paramount importance to the ICL. This is the main objective of organizing the pre-season camp which will be a composite specialized camp covering all areas pertaining to fitness and cricket skills,'' ICL Executive Board Member Kiran More said.

''The camp will operate under the astute leadership of Jock Campbell and Steve Rixon, who in addition to conditioning the boys to the nuances of the game; will also acquaint them with the anti-doping guidelines. I assure the cricketing fraternity and fans of the game that the forthcoming ICL season will set new benchmarks for domestic Indian cricket,'' he added.
