Mumbai, April 24: Kolkata Knight Riders' (KKR) spin bowler Sunil Narine has been reported for a suspected illegal bowling action again. This time in the ongoing edition of Indian Premier League 2015 (IPL 8).

A media release on Friday, from BCCI secretary Anurag Thakur, said that the West Indian was reported by the match officials during KKR's game against Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) on April 22 (Wednesday). However, he can continue to bowl in the tournament. In that game, Narine unsuccessful overs (0/38). SRH won the match by 16 runs (Duckworth/Lewis method).
"A suspected illegal bowling action report has been filed by the match officials on certain deliveries bowled by Mr Sunil Narine of Kolkata Knight Riders during the Pepsi IPL 2015 match between Sunrisers Hyderabad and Kolkata Knight Riders played on the 22nd of April, 2015 in Visakhapatnam," Thakur said.
"As per the provisions of the IPL Suspected Illegal Bowling Action Policy, Mr Narine will still be eligible to bowl in forthcoming Pepsi IPL matches and may request a biomechanical analysis of the deliveries in question at the ICC and BCCI accredited testing facility, the Sri Ramachandra Arthroscopy and Sports Science Centre (SRASSC) in Chennai," he added.
During last year's Champions League T20 (CLT20), Narine was from playing the final for a suspected illegal bowling action. Before the start of IPL 8, his bowling action was cleared by the review committee of BCCI. Narine had withdrawn from ICC World Cup 2015 due to his bowling action.
"I am happy that we will witness Sunil Narine in action in the Pepsi IPL 8 , since he is now cleared by the BCCI committee. We look forward to the opening match between Kolkata Knight Riders and Mumbai Indians on the 8th of April in Kolkata, which promises to provide an exciting start to the tournament," Thakur had said.
BCCI's bowling review committee of S Venkatraghavan, Javagal Srinath and AV Jayaprakash examined the bowling action of Narine after he had undergone a biomechanical assessment at the ICC accredited SRMC centre, Chennai, the Board had said.
