Mumbai, Apr 15: At at time when the debate over holding IPL matches in drought-hit Maharashtra has made matters worse for the under-fire BCCI, former India cricketer Vinod Kambli has vaded controversy by taking a jibe at his childhood friend and Master Blaster Sachin Tendulkar.
BCCI is finding it extremely hard to search for alternative venues after Bombay High Court ordered shifting IPL matches from Maharashtra after April 30.
Wading into the ongoing debate of playing IPL games, Kambli dragged the cricket legend into it. Taking it to Twitter Vinod Kambli wrote Bharat Ratna awardee Sachin Tendulkar would be the best person to give his opinion on the ongoing debate.
Kambli's sarcasm perhaps didn't go down well with the Master Blaster's fans and supporters who trolled the former left-handed batter for unnecessarily dragging Sachin into the issue.
Regarding the water crisis in Maharashtra n IPL matches to be shifted.I feel the best person to answer will be Bharat Ratna #srt— VINOD KAMBLI (@vinodkambli349) April 14, 2016
It must be noted that Sachin Tendulkar generally avoids getting into such debates. While this is not the first time Kambli has taken pot-shots at Sachin.
This is how fans reacted to Kambli's tweet:
@vinodkambli349 Why don't you enlighten us with your stand on this matter... How have you contributed? Maharashtra is your state too, right?— Jatin Khatumaria (@jatininthebox) April 14, 2016
