Harsha Goenka has been criticised on social media following his tweets and observations regarding Dhoni. After Pune's win their first game, Goenka took to Twitter to hail RPS' decision of sacking Dhoni as it's skipper and passing on the baton to Australia skipper Steve Smith.

Smith's match-winning knock against Mumbai Indians in their opening game, with Dhoni standing at the non-striker's end, made all praise the Australian cricketer. But Goenka's harsh comparison between Smith and Dhoni, which apparently undermined Dhoni's reputation, didn't go down well with latter's fans.

They slammed Goenka for criticising most successful captain in the history of IPL. Dhoni was sacked by the RPS as the captain of the franchise before start of this season following team's poor show in the last edition.
