Mumbai, Mar 10: Indian Premier League (IPL) chairman Lalit Modi on Tuesday, Mar 10 said that the schedule of the matches is still being fine tuned.
He also announced two new venues for the IPL. They are Ahmedabad and Vishakapatnam. Dharmashala may also be another place IPL is looking for, Modi added. IPL will start from April 10, Modi said.
IPL campaign will be launched in 10 days, Modi added. He was addressing a press conference in Mumbai.
Talks are still on with other cities like Nagpur. Modi also confirmed that the opening and the closing ceremony will take place in Mumbai.
Security will be the prime issue this time, Modi assured. Chennai may also not host all 7 matches, Modi said.
At the same time IPL also unveiled its new IPL 2 logo. However, no dates has been fixed.
