Srinivasan and his company have been accused of doing some illegal investments in the companies of Kadapa MP Jaganmohan during his father's (YS Rajasekhara Reddy) tenure as the Chief Minister of the state.
Earlier, Andhra Pradesh IT Minister Ponnala Lakshmaiah was being questioned for his role in the case and the alleged favours he doled out to Jagan. Lakshmaiah was questioned on the Government Orders (GOs) he issued when he was the Irrigation Minister in 2004-2009 during late YS Rajasekhara Reddy's regime on supply of water to certain cement firms. These cement firms as a return for the favour invested in Jagan's companies.
Among the arrests that have been made in relation to the case include Jagan's financial advisor V Vijay Sai Reddy who was granted bail, former AP Minister Mopidevi Venkataramana Rao, industrialist Nimmagadda Prasad and senior bureaucrat KV Brahmananda Reddy.
