More trouble for ICL as Sami bids adieu to rebel league

By Super Admin

Karachi, Dec. 18 (ANI): Pakistan speedster Mohammad Sami has obtained a No Objection Certificate (NOC) from the rebel Indian Cricket League (ICL).

"I received NOC from ICL today and despatched it to the Pakistan Cricket Board," The Dawn quoted Sami, as saying.

After middle order batsman Mohammad Yousuf and bowling all-rounders Abdul Razzaq and Rana Nave-ul-Hassan parted ways from the ICL to represent their country once again, Sami has also terminated his ties with the league.

The right-arm fast bowler, who was once compared with tearaway pacers Australian Brett Lee and team mate Sohaib Akhtar, has been recalled to the national team after two years following captain Mohammad Yousuf's plea.

Sami, who has taken 81 wickets in 33 Tests, was called back into the team for the Test series against Australia keeping in mind the pace and bounce of the tracks Down Under.

Pakistan will take on Australia in the opening test of the three match series starting December 26 at Melbourne. (ANI)
