Bengaluru, Sep 4: Former India captain Rahul Dravid's son Samit impressed again with the bat as he piloted Mallya Aditi International School to victory in an Under-12 match here.
The right-handed Samit, who had struck a match-winning unbeaten 77 earlier in the tournament, on Thursday (September 3) missed a century but his superb 93 was enough for a 61-run success for his school team.
At the St. John's Medical College grounds, 9-year-old Samit's knock helped Mallya Aditi defeat Delhi Public School (Whitefield) in the Gopalan Cricket Challenge Cup 2015.
Thanks to opener Samit's 93, Mallya Aditi posted 168/3 in 16 overs. In reply, Delhi Public School were restricted to 107/6 in 16 overs.
Dravid, who is currently India A's coach, has two sons - Samit and Anvay. Both of his children were seen at Indian Premier League (IPL) matches this year where they took part in practice sessions with Rajasthan Royals (RR), mentored by Dravid.
Scores in brief
Mallya Aditi International School 168/3 in 16 overs (Samit Dravid 93, Aaaryan 2/6) beat Delhi Public School (Whitefield) 107/6 in 16 overs.
