For Bangalore boy Rahul, it is a return to RCB. He was with the franchise before being bought in the Players Auction by Sunrisers for in 2014. The 23-year-old has appeared in 5 Tests for India. Rahul, a right-handed opening batsman, also keeps wickets.

Rasool, who plays for Jammu and Kashmir in domestic circuit, had played for the now defunct Pune Warriors franchise. Rasool was picked by Sunrisers for Rs 95 lakh in 2014 Players Auction. The 27-year-old has played 1 ODI for India.

IPL Chairman, Rajeev Shukla, said: "The Royal Challengers Bangalore have made strong moves ahead of the season. KL Rahul is one of the talented young batsmen in the Indian circuit while Parvez Rasool is an asset to any team with his all-round abilities."

"The duo will join a dream line-up at RCB with India's Test Captain Virat Kohli leading them," he added.

United Spirits Ltd. Chairman, Dr. Vijay Mallya, said: "Given his multiple skills, KL Rahul has a lot to offer RCB in terms of batting and wicket keeping. It's a good feeling to get a prominent local Karnataka boy back home and in the RCB fold again.

"Parvez offers us a spinning all rounder option that we were targeting to compliment Chahal and Iqbal. I hope to see him continue his good form in this forthcoming IPL season," he added.

IPL 2016, the 9th edition of the tournament, will be played from 9 April 2016 to 29 May 2016.
