Bengaluru, April 11: Is batting legend Sachin Tendulkar making a return to cricket? Such question arose on Saturday afternoon among millions of his fans following a picture that was posted by the Master Blaster himself on his Twitter account.
IPL 2015 Special
Tendulkar, who retired from international cricket in November 2013, is now the 'icon' of Mumbai Indians (MI) franchise in the ongoing 8th edition of Indian Premier League (IPL 8).
He retired from Twenty20 cricket in 2013 after MI won the IPL trophy in May. Tendulkar was seen with the MI squad during and before their opening match against Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR). MI lost that game on Wednesday (April 8) by 7 wickets.
On Saturday (April 11) afternoon, Tendulkar took to Twitter to post a picture of himself getting ready to wear a cricket helmet.
The image, showing him in MI colours, made his fans think that the Master Blaster is set to return to cricket, maybe for the current edition of IPL.
The Tweet from Tendulkar had the caption "Guess whaatt.. ?!" and his supporters are still waiting to hear so that he ends the suspense.
MI are set to play Kings XI Punjab at Tendulkar's home ground Wankhede Stadium on Sunday (April 12). Some of the fans asked Tendulkar on Twitter whether he was going to play tomorrow's match against Punjab.
Will the 41-year-old Tendulkar pad up for just 1 more time?
