Bengaluru, March 27: Amid all the media tantrums, Indian cricket captain Mahendra Singh Dhoni found the much-needed moral support from wife Sakshi after his team, the defending champions, crashed out of the World Cup in Sydney on Thursday. Sakshi, who gave birth to a girl in February, said in Twitter post that the Indian team had fought hard and all the sacrifices were worth it. She was also elated over the fact that she would meet her husband after long time. [Photos: India's journey in WC 2015]

The Indian team has been playing Down Under since November and Dhoni had joined the team ahead of the second test in December.

The Dhonis named the newborn Ziva.

On Thursday, Dhoni jokingly said in a press conference that had he and his team stayed in Australia for some more time, they would have received Australian citizenship for sure.

Earlier, India were trounced by 95 runs by a clinical Australian side at the SCG. Batting first, the Australians scored 328/7 in 50 overs and then skittled out the visitors for 233 in 46.5 overs. Dhoni scored 65, the highest for the team, after the middle-order collapsed for just 32 runs during the chase.
