Bengaluru, Sep 6: Samit Dravid struck his 3rd half century to help Mallya Aditi International School win the Under-12 title at the Gopalan Cricket Challenge tournament here on Saturday (September 5).
Samit, the son of former India captain Rahul Dravid, scored 77 as his team defeated Head Start Educational Academy by 23 runs in the final at the St. John's Medical College grounds.
The 9-year-old Samit was adjudged the 'Best Batsman' of the tournament. The right-hander hit 77 not out, 93 and 77 in the final during the tournament. All his 3 half centuries came in winning causes.
Right through the tournament, bespectacled opener Samit was impressive with the bat. Samit has done his father Dravid proud with these performances and seems to be on right track to string more big scores. It is a son rise in Bengaluru.
