Sreesanth approaches Kerala HC asking court intervention

Sreesanth approaches Kerala High Court seeking its intervention as BCCI delays the issue of NOC to the pacer to play in Scotland

Bengaluru, August 19: S Sreesanth approached the Kerala High Court on Friday (August 18) asking its immediate intervention in the matter of getting NOC from the Board of Control for Cricket in India to play cricket in the Scotland League.

The Kerala HC had lifted life ban on the pacer on August 7, but now Sreesanth said in his plea that the BCCI still has not acted on the court's verdict.

He said the Scotland League has reached its last leg and any more delay could be detrimental to him. The court will take up his petition on Monday (August 21).

Sreesanth Moves HC To Seek NOC From BCCI

Since his arrest in 2013, Sreesanth had his first outing on August 15 when he led a local team in an exhibition match in Kochi.

Even though the Kerala HC has lifted the ban, the BCCI has decided to appeal against the single bench verdict.
