Kochi, June 12: After spending 27 days in jail, Sreesanth finally reached his hometown Kochi, Kerala on Wednesday, June 12. However, the jail nightmares during his stint behind prison, seem to have been haunting the cricketer even when he is with his family members.

Speaking to media, the suspended Rajasthan Royals cricketer said, "I won't forget the days spent in jail. The last 27 days have taught me a lot. Even my enemies should not suffer this fate."

The player, however, overruled Delhi police statement regarding his confession saying, "No. I haven't confessed. All I can say is to please be patient. I have played the game in the right spirit and I have only been giving my level best every moment."

A Delhi court on Tuesday granted bail to Sreesanth, his another RR teammate Ankeet Chavan and 17 others. However, another RR player Ajit Chandila did not apply for bail.

Additional Session Judge Vinay Kumar Khanna granted bail to the accused on a personal bond of Rs. 50,000 each with one surety of the like amount. All accused, who have been granted bail, deposited their passports. They can not travel abroad, however, they can visit any place within the country.

The court slammed Delhi Police for invoking Maharashtra Control of Organised Crime Act (MCOCA) against Sreesanth and other players as cops failed to submit sufficient evidence.

Sreesanth along with two other RR players and many bookies were arrested in connection with IPL spot fixing scandal. Delhi Police arrested the players from Mumbai on May 16.
