Injured Sri Lankan coach may return to Australia

By Super Admin

Melbourne, Mar 4: Sri Lanka's Australian coach Trevor Bayliss is expected to return home later this week after being caught in the terrorist attack in Lahore.

His wife Julie said the father of two had flown back to Colombo with the rest of the Sri Lankan team after 12 masked gunmen attacked their convoy en route to the Gaddafi stadium for the second Test against Pakistan.

At least eight people were killed and seven team members wounded after the terrorists opened fire on the bus, using rockets, hand grenades and automatic weapons. Bayliss was lucky to avoid serious injury after three bullets shattered a window next to him, the Daily Telegraph reported.

Bayliss' contract with Sri Lanka is due to expire in August and he hasn't ruled out another stint in the job.
