As Justice Misra said that they would hear the matter on Friday, Attorney General Mukul Rohatgi said the hearing should take place at 2 p.m. as he would require two hours time to address the court on some of the issues.

Seeking hearing on another day, senior counsel Kapil Sibal said that they have to attend the funeral of senior counsel Anil Divan who had passed away early on Monday morning.

The top court on January 3 had appointed Divan to recommend the names for the Committee of Administrators (COA) that would oversee and supervise the functioning of the BCCI.

Divan had come as a substitute for senior counsel Fali Nariman as the latter withdrew from the committee since till 2009 he was representing the apex cricket body.

The top court had earlier asked Nariman and amicus curiae Gopal Subramanium to suggest the names for the committee of administrator (COA) that would supervise the administration of BCCI through its Chief Executive Officer.
