Dubai, Feb 7: India's Ravindra Jadeja has come in for praise from Australia's former all-rounder and World Cup winner Andy Bichel.
According to Bichel, Jadeja can make a big impact at ICC World Cup 2015. Jadeja is the lone Indian who features in Bichel's top-10 all-rounders for the major tournament.
"What a talent this Indian all-rounder is in the right conditions. With the ball he is very hard to work away so his pace on the ball will be important here in this World Cup," Bichel wrote for International Cricket Council's (ICC) website today.
"His batting is getting better by the day and he is starting to be more consistent in recent times. He missed the Test Series in Australia because of selection and he has had an injured recently so I am sure he will be keen to perform once he gets his chance.
"He can have a big impact in this tournament but is probably lacking a bit confidence given the fact he hasn't played," he added.
Bichel was part of Australia's World Cup winning squad in 2003. In that edition, he took his career best 7/20 against England.
World Cup 2015 begins on February 15 and ends on March 29. Australia and New Zealand are the hosts for the 11th edition of the tournament
