New Delhi, July 1: Former Team India director Ravi Shastri has resigned as a member of ICC's cricket committee, days after he lost India's head coach job to Anil Kumble, who is the chairman of the ICC committee.
'Hurt and extremely saddenned' by Shastri's comments: Ganguly
As per media reports, there is no link between the two events as former India captain had expressed this desire to ICC chairman Shashank Manohar earlier as well.
The former India all-rounder had also skipped the committee's meeting in the first week of June at Lord's because of his media commitments.

Team India's newly appointed coach Anil Kumble is the chairman of the ICC committee while Shastri was associated with it as media representative. The ICC website, however, still features the name of Shastri in the cricket committee.
Shastri at present is not having the best of times, first he lost the India coach's job to Kumble then he indulged into an ugly spat with BCCI's Cricket Advisory Committee member Sourav Ganguly.
