Brisbane, Feb 5 (UNI) Master blaster Sachin Tendulkar added another feather in his cap here today when he crossed the 16,000 run mark in one-day cricket during the second match of ongoing tri-series against Sri Lanka.
Tendulkar reached the milestone in his 409th match when he scored his 28th run before got out on 35.
Meanwhile, Tendulkar now aggregating 16007 runs, is all set to remain on top as Sri Lankan all-rounder Sanath Jayasuriya, who is occupying the second spot with a tallie of 12207 runs, is far behind the little master.
Former Pakistan captain Inzamam-ul Haq is third in the list while Sourav Ganguly is fourth with 11739 and 11363 runs respectively.
Next in the list is Australian captain Ricky Ponting with 10835 runs from 289 matches and another Indian Rahul Dravid is on sixth spot with a tallie of 10585 runs.
Tendulkar, who has scored more than 27000 runs in Test and ODI together, is only 172 run away from overtaking Brian Lara to emerge as the highest run getter in Test cricket also.
