Lahore, May 30: Two persons were killed in a blast near the Gaddafi Stadium here on Friday night. The second one-day international match between the two sides was underway when the blast occurred. "An auto rickshaw and three motorcycles were damaged in the blasts and two policemen were slightly injured," a witness said.
"Senior police officials have said the blasts happened a distance away from the stadium near Kalma Chowk," he said.
The day and night match continued uninterrupted even after the blasts.
The Pakistan Cricket Board and the Punjab government have made elaborate security arrangements for the touring Zimbabwe team with hundreds of policemen, intelligence officers and commandos on duty at the Gaddafi stadium as part of the security cordon.
