Warne rules out international comeback

By Staff

Melbourne, June 4 (UNI) Making a complete about turn from his earlier comments, retired leg-spin legend Shane Warne has ruled out a return to the Australian squad.

''I've got no interest at all at this stage. I'm very happily retired, I'm comfortable where I'm at at the moment,'' Warne told mediapersons at the Melbourne Airport last night.

''I won't be playing cricket (except) I've got a couple of sixes tournaments throughout the next 12 months, then IPL next April,'' he added. ''That'll be it for me.'' Warne had earlier expressed his desire to return to international cricket for the Ashes series next summer.

His superb performances during the Indian Premier League (IPL), in which he had claimed 19 wickets at an average of 21.26, had backed his claim.
