Kolkata, March 26: New Zealand maintained their clean record in the group stage of the ongoing T20 World Cup as they thrashed Bangladesh by 75 runs in the final league match at the Eden Gardens here on Saturday (March 26).
With four win in as many matches, New Zealand became the firs team to register a 100 per cent record in two consecutive World Cups---ODI and T20.
New Zealand also made their first-ever semifinal in the T20 World Cup this year
New Zealand also had a near-clear record in the 1992 World Cup, also played Down Under, as they went on to win seven consecutive matches in the round-robin league but lost to Pakistan twice, the second time in the semi-final.
Martin Crowe, who passed out earlier this month, had captained the side in that edition.
