World T20: Umpires, match referees named for semi-finals

Mumbai, March 29: The International Cricket Council (ICC) today (March 29) announced the umpires and match referees for the semi-finals of the World T20.

The last-four contests (men) of World T20 will be played tomorrow (March 30) and Thursday (March 31).

In the first encounter, unbeaten New Zealand take on 2010 champions England at New Delhi's Feroz Shah Kotla. At Mumbai's Wankhede Stadium, 2007 winners India face 2012 champions West Indies on Thursday. (10 facts about Ind-WI semis)

The women's semi-finals will also be played on the same days, for which the umpires and match referees have also been appointed.

England's Richard Kettleborough and Ian Gould have been named as the on-field umpires for India-West Indies game.

Appointments for the 3 April finals at Eden Gardens in Kolkata will be announced on 1 April, ICC said on Tuesday.

30 March, Delhi

2.30 PM IST - Australia Vs England (women's); Chris Gaffaney (New Zealand) and S Ravi (India) (on-field), Joel Wilson (West Indies) (third umpire), Ranmore Martinesz (Sri Lanka) (fourth umpire), Jeff Crowe (New Zealand) (match referee)

7 PM IST - England Vs New Zealand (men's); Kumar Dharmasena (Sri Lanka) and Rod Tucker (Australia) (on-field), Bruce Oxenford (Australia) (third umpire), Joel Wilson (West Indies) (fourth umpire), David Boon (match referee)

31 March, Mumbai

2.30 PM IST - New Zealand Vs West Indies (women's); Richard Illingworth (England) and Nigel Llong (England) (on-field), Paul Reiffel (Australia) (third umpire), Simon Fry (Australia) (fourth umpire), Javagal Srinath (India) (match referee)

7 PM IST - India Vs West Indies (men's) - Richard Kettleborough (England) and Ian Gould (England) (on-field umpire), Marais Erasmus (South Africa) (third umpire), Michael Gough (England) (fourth umpire), Chris Broad (England) (match referee)
