Madrid, August 3: Atletico Madrid defender Juanfran has claimed he is not bothered by rumours linking Antoine Griezmann to join Barcelona as a replacement for Neymar as he believes the French Superstar is happy at Vincent Calderon.
Neymar has been tipped to join French giant Paris Saint-German this summer for a world record fee of €222 million and according to some reports, the Catalan giants have selected Griezmann as his replacement.
However, his long time team-mate Juanfran now insisted that although Neymar's move is surprising but he thinks Griezmann won't be living Atletico for the rival club.
Juanfran told reporters: "The market is going a bit crazy, and any [transfer] operation can have knock-on effects.
"Players are worth whatever a team is willing to pay. We cannot say who is worth more or less, the market dictates that.
"But we are not concerned as Griezmann is happy at Atleti and we want him to give everything for Atleti."
The French international earlier looked determined to be heading to Old Trafford this summer and even expressed candidly about his chance of a move during a television interview.
However, a transfer ban for Atletico Madrid changed the whole scenario and the 26-year-old made a u-turn with the development to pledge his future to the La Liga club.
The attacker also decided to sign an improved contract with the club later. But now according to a report, the Barcelona board want to take a chance and are willing to avtivate his release clause which is around £90 million to help secure his signature.
Griezmann scored 26 goals last season and helped Atletico finishing third in La Liga and reaching the Champions League semi-finals. He also ended third in the voting for last year's Ballon d'Or, just behind Lionel Messi and winner Cristiano Ronaldo.
After the ban, Griezmann publicly announced that he could not leave the club in danger as the Madrid side won't be able to sign anyone until January as this will leave a huge gap in the team.
