Arsene Wenger hails new signing Sead Kolasinac

Bengaluru, August 17: Arsène Wenger says that his new signing Sead Kolašinac has proved there are still good free transfers available in the market which is highly inflated at the moment.

Arsenal's first summer signing Sead Kolašinac has made a dream start to his Arsenal career, with a goal and an assist in his first two competitive matches in the Community Shield and the Premier League respectively.

Arsenal fans have really taken to the Bosnian defender who can play at either left-back or as a centre-back in a back three, and it's a promising sign for the season ahead that he has settled in so quickly.

Wenger has addressed both of these points in his interview about the player on Arsenal.com. He said: "His performance talks about him and the way the crowd responds shows he has been accepted straight away. It shows you can still find good players on the market for free."

The Arsenal boss has always been a proponent for finding good value players on the market, and although supporters often cry that he should just get out and spend the money, in reality fans are always proud when a club picks up a top talent for next to nothing.

This was shown last season as Rob Holding burst onto the scene, having only cost the Gunners £2million from Bolton Wanderers. Now it seems to be the case again with Kolašinac as Wenger has once again proved why he is one of the shrewdest managers out there.

In an era where Neymar became the first nine-figure transfer, and Paul Pogba and Romelu Lukaku cost Manchester United a combined £164million, picking up Rob Holding and Sead Kolašinac for £2m certainly seems like very good business from Arsene Wenger's team.

This allowed the Gunners to spend big on players like Alexandre Lacazette, who cost a club record fee and has already opened his goal-scoring account on his Premier League debut. On initial impressions even Lacazette's transfer fee seems like a bargain, to be fair.
