New Delhi, Oct 31: India football team captain Bhaichung Bhutia has started a football academy for youths on Saturday, Oct 29.
Indian captain launched the 'Bhaichung Bhutia Football Schools' youth development programme in association with former Portugal coach Carlos Quieroz.
Bhutia told that youth development programme will start first in Delhi and later expand to Mumbai and to eight other cities in three years. The technical assistance for the Bhutia's school will be given by 'Football by Carlos Quieroz', a training school run by the former Portugal coach Carlos Quieroz.
The new academy have tied up with Ryan International School, which they will provide infrastructure. Bhaichung Bhutia Football Schools will be operational by Nov 29.
Bhutia told that thirty percent of the seats are reserved for underprivileged students and thge aim of the school is to encourage kids to play, enjoy the sport and have fun.
