Braulio Nobrega, the new signing of Bengaluru FC, had once narrowly avoided prison in a sexual assault case

Braulio Nobrega

Bengaluru, August 8: Braulio Nobrega, the new signing of Bengaluru FC, has an impressive record having played for the likes of Atletico Madrid, Real Mallorca and Getafe.

However, Nobrega has a black spot after he was arrested on September 21, 2011 on charges of sexual assault. The incident took place near Zaragoza, shortly before Real Zaragoza's training.

Though he was not implicated immediately, the following day Nobrega pleaded guilty. The team ousted him from the squad and the club released him a month later.

After judicial formalities, Nobrega avoided a prison term paying 11,400 Euros as damages on June 22, 2012.
There was no response from the part of the Bengaluru FC thus far.
