Spain, June 30: Former Granada manager Joaquin Caparros could replace Vicente De Bosque as the Spanish manager.
The 60-year-old Spaniard has himself confirmed the news that if the Spanish federation approach him, he is ready to take up the new challenge.
Speaking to AS, Caparros said: "If the Federation need me, I'll happily step forward.
"I don't know whether they will call but [President] Villar already knows that I am fully at the Federation's disposal.
"All of that depends on whether Vicente del Bosque, who is the best man for the job, decides to leave. Del Bosque should be given the utmost respect for everything that he has done and for all of the happiness he has given us. Winning the World Cup and the Euros is the ultimate, and no one can take that away from him."
Vicente Del Bosque has been at the helm of affairs at the Spanish national team since 2008. After Spain's 2008 Euro Cup triumph, Del Bosque took charges from legendary manager late Luis Aragones.
Del Bosque can boast of successful stint with the La Roja the past 8 years. Del Bosque tasted the success of winning the World Cup as well as the Euro Cup in 2012 for second time on a row. Unfortunately Spain were knocked out of the group stage in the 2014 World Cup and recently they suffered a shocking defeat against Italy at the Euro 2016 round of 16.
While Vicente Del Bosque is yet put his resignation, it is being speculated that the Spanish federation might consider replacing him.
When Caparros was asked about what he would bring to this Spain team, he said: "Joy, excitement, hard work and experience. I have been in charge for over 500 matches in the top flight and what I enjoy most is working with the youth team players.
"The Spain side is our youth team, the melting pot from which future champions emerge. It's a wonderful job."
Joaquin Caparros has managed several La Liga sides in the past which includes, Levante, Mallorca, Athletic Bilbao, Sevilla, etc.
