EPL 2012-13: Premier League Game Week 22 Preview

London, Jan 12: Battling to escape the relegation zone, Villa entertain Southampton, Everton close to fourth spot, Chelsea keen on staying on top, Newcastle make tough trip to Norwich, all the previews from the Barclays Premier League.

Queens Park Rangers vs Tottenham - Loftus Road

Harry Redknapp will be pleased to see his side gain three points against his former employers. Still bottom of the league table, QPR face a real threat from Spurs. Andre Villas-Boas' side are the only team to have scored in all away games. Currently third in the league, Tottenham have not lost in five league games, winning four of them.

Aston Villa vs Southampton - Villa Park

The last time these two sides met, Southampton beat Villa 4-1 at home. But this time out, as the relegation battle rages on, both teams will be desperate for victory. Villa have been struggling off-late with 11 points in 10 games, scoring seven goals and conceding 21 in their last six matches. It's been a month since the Saints last won but have drawn their last 3 matches in the league.

Everton vs Swansea City - Goodison Park

Everton's record against Swansea is impressive which reads W11 D4 L0. David Moyes' men are eyeing a Champions League while Michael Laudrup's side are coming off a Capital One Cup win over Chelsea. The Swans will be confident but the busy schedule may affect Premier League performance. The Toffees will aim nothing short of all three points.

Fulham vs Wigan Athletic - Craven Cottage

Fulham have to stop relying on Dimitar Berbatov and start working on results after their run of one win in 12 league games. However, after winning at the Hawthorns, Fulham now have a chance of clinching back-to-back wins. Wigan have won more away games than at home and despite Fulham being a tough place to visit, the Latics create more opportunities going forward.

Norwich City vs Newcastle United - Carrow Road

Hanging above the relegation zone, Newcastle's problems are clear after four straight defeats in all competitions. A trip to Norwich may make things worse. However, the Canaries have not won in their last four Premier League outings. Injuries to key players has been the main concern to Alan Pardew while Norwich are on a run of losses. Both teams will be hoping to get back to winning ways.

Reading vs West Brom Albion - Madejski stadium

Reading have to win if they want to survive in the Premier League. But they take on this seasons high-flying team West Brom. Although the Baggies lost two in a row recently, they are just two wins away from the fourth spot. Reading managed to win only their second game of the season and with the second worst defence, West Brom will definitely go for all three points.

Stoke City vs Chelsea - Britannia Stadium

Stoke at home is considered the toughest place to visit but this time all eyes will be on Premier League big boys Chelsea. After back-to-back home defeats, Chelsea can look back at their record at Stoke, unbeaten in their last eight league and cup games. However, Stoke are unbeaten at home in their last 17 league games.

Sunderland vs West Ham United - Stadium of Light

Sunderland are currently four-points clear off the drop zone after suffering back-to-back defeats. During Christmas, the Black Cats enjoyed consecutive wins but failed to keep up that momentum. West Ham have lost their last four away matches but the 2-2 draw against Manchester United should give some confidence and the signing of new players is a positive sign for the Hammers.
