EPL: Manchester United eye 15-point lead

Manchester, Mar 1: Manchester United go into the weekend with the prospect of increasing their lead to 15 points when they host Norwich City on Saturday. With Manchester City's away to trip to Aston Villa on Monday, United can pile up pressure on their noisy neighbours.

United are likely to grab all three points against the Canaries, but more importance will be given to Tuesday's Champions League clash against Real Madrid as United head into the game at Old Trafford with an away goal in the first leg.

United boss Sir Alex Ferguson is likely to make several changes to his side against Norwich, given the importance of the European tie. But with Robin van Persie out injured with a hip problem, Wayne Rooney could start in attack alongside Javier Hernandez or Danny Welbeck.

Ryan Giggs would like to make his 1000th appearance in senior football after scoring in his 999th game against QPR at Loftus road. In case the veteran is rested against Norwich, he is likely to start against Madrid on Tuesday.

As United edge closer to lifting their 20th league title, all eyes will on Cristiano Ronaldo as he returns to Old Trafford for the first time since his record transfer move in 2009.

Meanwhile, Norwich can eye another upset as United shuffle their squad. When these two sides met back in November, the Red Devils fell to a 1-0 defeat at Carrow Road.

But United have been unbeaten at home in 17 games. The last time Norwich visited Old Trafford they were beaten 2-0.
