Gazza again drinking to death

London, Jun 4: Troubled former football star Paul Gascoigne (Gazza), who swore not to booze again six months ago was so much drunk that he could barely walk.

Gascoigne oldest mate Jimmy Gardner, who was waiting on the platform to meet him in Newcastle, grabbed the former England idol's arm to stop him from falling over. Passengers were shocked to see Gazza, 42-year-old clung to his buddy for support and reeled to a bench.

The Sun reported that Gazza was meant to attend the Newcastle launch of five-a-side tournament for ex-pros for which he was on the train from London.

Mark, from Herts, a commuter said, "I've never seen anyone so drunk. Gazza fell over his own holdall but the man managed to catch him. It took him five minutes to walk 20 yards to hand his ticket to the inspector."
