Bengaluru, August 20: England legend Gary Lineker has recommended that Tottenham Hotspur striker Harry Kane is good enough to play for clubs like Real Madrid right now.

The former Tottenham striker has always shown his love for the current spurs striker and rated the England international highly, making claims that Kane could play in any top clubs in the world, including high flying Real Madrid.

Lineker also claimed that he is a superior striker than current Madrid number 9 Benzema, who scored 19 goals in all rivalries last season and helped the Los Blancos to win the Champions League and La Liga title.

"Make no mistake, Harry Kane is the real deal. The value on a striker like Harry Kane in this transfer market is hard to calculate, but clearly he has been in the £100m-plus category for some time now," he told 'Yahoo Sport'.

"I stand by my statement from last season that he was better than their current striker Karim Benzema and feel Kane could play for a big club like Real Madrid right now if he wanted to.

"I like Benzema, he is a very good centre-forward, but I think if I played in that Real Madrid team, I would score a goal every game and I think Kane is good enough to play at that stature of club."

Harry Kane has established himself as one of the imperative resources for Mauricio Pochettino in the last couple of seasons. He has won the Premier League Golden Boot for two consecutive seasons and scored 29 goals last season to help Spurs finish second in the league.
