Jose Mourinho opens up about Manchester United’s fourth signing of the summer

London, Aug 19: Manchester United manager Jose Mourinho has suggested that his transfer proceedings of this Summer might have come to an end, after admitting that he is under no pressure to sign a fourth player in the current window.

The Portuguese boss earlier repeatedly hinted that he demanded at least four new players in this summer window and eventually landed three new signings, Romelu Lukaku, Nemanja Matic and Victor Lindelof, however, faced a stern competition for the service of their reported pursuit of Inter Milan winger Ivan Perisic.

The Red Devils have been chasing the Croatian all summer, but have so far disappointed to agree on a deal with the Italian side and now reports have emerged that Perisic is ready to stay at Inter, signing a new contract which all but confirms the end of the transfer.

And now ahead of their match against Swansea City, in the pre-match interview, the manager suggested he would be happy to go with the squad he currently has and Ceo Ed Woodward has done a great work landing his targets.

"Unless something happens that puts us in the market again. Obviously, my plans were four but I also told (club Executive Vice Chairman) Ed Woodward, 'No pressure from me, do what you think is best for the club'," Mourinho told reporters on Friday.

"I am happy with the squad we have. I'm ready to go without a fourth signing. My club did phenomenally well. I had four targets, we got three before the first match. My club did great work. Also, nobody is in doubt (about their future)."

Mourinho's side will travel to Swansea City today after winning the first match convincing 4-0 against West Ham on the opening weekend.
