Kerala Blasters sign defender Pratik Chaudhari

Kochi, July 13: Indian Super League side Kerala Blasters FC have officially announced that they have acquired the services of Indian defender Pratik Chaudhari for the third edition of the tournament.

Pratik Chaudhari, 26 started his football career at Air India in 2011. He switched clubs in 2013 and went to Rangdajied United. Spending one season, he shifted to Kolkata and Indian giants Mohun Bagan.

Last season, he played for Mumbai FC in the I League where he impressed many.

In 2012, an unfortunate knee injury kept him out of action after being shortlisted for the Indian national team probables for friendly matches to be played against Singapore and Vietnam.

After joining the Indian Super League side, Pratik Chaudhari said, "I am thrilled to be making my Indian Super League debut with Kerala Blasters. I look forward to giving my best to the team and the management that has put their faith in me."

Viren D'Silva, CEO, Kerala Blasters said, "Pratik is a talented player and has shown great skills playing for Mumbai FC and Mohun Bagan in the I-League. We welcome him to the Kerala Blasters family and look forward to see him perform in the yellow jersey!"

Kerala Blasters finished runner-up in the inaugural edition of the tournament in 2014 and 8th last season. They recently extended contract with Antonio German and Josue Currais Prieto.
