It's party time for Klopp and Liverpool!

The draw for the group stages will be made soon as the Merseyside club edges towards their Champions League dream

Jurgen Klopp

Bengaluru, August 24: Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp is in a party mood and wants his team also to do the same.

The Reds beat Hoffenheim 4-2 in the second leg of their Champions League play-off on Wednesday, overcoming the German side 6-3 on aggregate to seal a spot in the group stage of Europe's elite competition for the first time since 2014.

The draw for the group stages will be made on Thursday and with the Merseyside club edging towards their Champions League dream, Klopp wants his boys to savour the occasion.

"But I've told the boys 'have a party'. For sure that's what we should do, really enjoy after the performance against Hoffenheim.

"I love the attitude of this team because they really fight."

Klopp's side who will now turn their attention to the Premier League, where they host Arsenal on Sunday have not been in the premier UEFA competition since 2015 when Brendan Rogers was the manager.

The German said qualifying for the Champions League would be a big boost for the club, by all means.

"We should be in the Champions League. It's a big influence on the transfer market, especially if we do it more often.

"I know a few people think differently, but we do a lot of work... if you talk to them, they say if you would play in the Champions League, it would be really interesting because the club is great, the manager is not too bad" Klopp added.
