On Thursday, March 2, both Real Madrid and FC Barcelona were in action. Luis Enrique Barcelona Thrashed relegation-threatened Sporting Gijon 6-1 while leaders Real were held for a nail-biting 3-3 draw.

The results on Thursday spiced up the entire title race. Barcelona go above Real Madrid with a point more but Zidane's side has a game in hand.
