Madrid, Aug 29: La Liga giants Real Madrid and FC Barcelona picked up comfortable victories as the game week 2 of La Liga concluded yesterday (August 28).
Real Madrid defeated Celta Vigo 2-1 thanks to strikers from Spanish striker Alvaro Morata and German midfield marshall Toni Kroos.
Morata who came back to Real Madrid this summer took up the responsibility of scoring the goal in the absence of Karim Benzema and Cristiano Ronaldo.
He was well assisted by another star performer Gareth Bale. Toni Kroos scored a beautifull long range goal to seal Real Madrid's fate.
Last night (Augsut 28), FC Barcelona defeated Athletic Bilbao in a tough away fixture. Ivan Rakitic scored the all important goal for the defending champions to assure them 3 crucial points.
It was Lionel Messi's 350th La Liga match for the club. A lot was expected from world's best player as he failed to live up to expectations.
