La Liga game week 4: Roundup, results, team of the week

Bengaluru, Sep 19: Atletico Madrid and FC Barcelona were the highlights of game week 5 in La Liga as they scored repokers in their individual matches.

Atletico Madrid thumped 5 goals past Sporting Gijon. Antoine Griezmann and Fernando Torres scored 2 goals each to guide their team to a comfortable win.

Reigning champions FC Barcelona continued their fiery form as they routed Leganes 5-1. Lionel Messi once again was at his very best scoring two goals. Luis Suarez, Neymar and Rafinha were the other scorers.

Real Madrid too created record by beating Espanyol 2-0. James Rodriguez and Karim Benzema were on target to guide the Los Blancos to glory in the absence of Cristiano Ronaldo and Gareth Bale.

Real Madrid under manager Zinedine Zidane have now won 16 consecutive La Liga matches on a trot equalling FC Barcelona's streak under Pep Guardiola.
