Zurich, Jan 10: The Best FIFA Football Awards 2016 took place in Zurich last night, January 9 as the football's apex body handed over the trophies in their annual award ceremony.

All leagues special site; Ronaldo wins FIFA best player award

Unlike the last 8 years, when France Football and FIFA used to collaborate and hand out the best prizes, FIFA organized the function on its own rebranding it as 'The Best'.

Cristiano Ronaldo grabbed all limelights winning The Best FIFA Men's Player of the Year beating Lionel Messi and Antoine Griezmann.

USA's Carli Lloyd won The Best FIFA Women's Player of the Year. Leicester City boss Claudio Ranieri won The Best FIFA Men's Coach of the Year and Germany's Silvia Neid won The Best FIFA Women's Coach of the Year.
