Bengaluru, August 24: Spanish and European champions Real Madrid are reportedly weighing up an offer for Andrea Belotti from Torino before the end of the transfer window.

Spanish publication Don Balon have reported that Andrea Belotti is the subject of interest from Real Madrid as they have finally admitted a defeat in pursuit for Monaco's teenage sensation Kylian Mbappe.

This will be a piece of bad news for Chelsea, though, who have a strong interest in the Italian international with Conte being a fan of his countryman.

Spanish media claim that Real Madrid boss Zinedine Zidane is prioritising bringing in a striker following the departure of Mariano Diaz and Alvaro Morata leaving Karim Benzema as the only recognised centre-forward at the club.

With age on his side, Belotti could well be the long-term successor of Benzema up front for the Los Blancos.

Belotti had an impressive last season for Torino having scored 26 goals finishing third in the race for Serie A Golden Boot with one goal in every 118 minutes which is an excellent figure.

Torino chairman Urbano Cairo remains stubborn on letting his side's star man go, although he may be persuaded to re-think if a potential buyer tables €100million for the Italian frontman.

French champions Monaco also have declared their interest for the Italy international recently, while Chelsea have a long-standing interest in the Italian hitman.

With Diego Costa unlikely to return to Stamford Bridge any time soon, Chelsea are looking for further firepower up front alongside Alvaro Morata and Michy Batshuayi, and Belotti would be a great addition to the Blues.

However, with Real Madrid having entered the scene, Monaco and Chelsea will surely be on the backfoot now. It now remains to be seen who wins the battle for Belotti.

The Italian needs to consider his options carefully as he needs regular gametime in order to grow as a player and win a place in the Italian World Cup squad.
