Bengaluru, August 24: West Ham United manager Slaven Bilic has confessed in an interview that he is still fuming at new summer signing Marko Arnautovic following his red card against Southampton on Saturday (August 19) evening.

West Ham United endured a staggering 3-2 defeat to Southampton, with most of the tie conclude after new marking Marko Arnautovic was sent off for a wicked foul.

The £25 million man was given a straight red for elbowing Jack Stephens in the first half of Saturday's 3-2 defeat at St Mary's which still has his manager ranting several days later.

The Austrian international since then has apologized several times via many media outlets, however, boss Bilic is yet to erase the occurrence and ahead of their 2-0 win at Carabao Cup game against League Two side Cheltenham on Wednesday, raised his voice about such behaviour.

"The dust has not settled," said Bilic about the incident. "We had a chat and he has said he is sorry about three or four times, he has said sorry everywhere, but you just can't do that."

"How can he explain that," he exclaimed.

"He probably just wanted to push the guy because he has been elbowed a few minutes before. The problem was the guy leaned down a bit so he got him in the next which is already nasty and second, he is big, he is not Lanzini, he is massive and that gives it an extra dimension."

"But the point is that you can't do that, so let us not talk about how did it happen, that is irrelevant.

"The more you talk about how did it happen, the more normal it becomes.

"It happened, I am fuming still now, but no more."

"I am very confident that the message has got through. He regrets it, he is a bit angry at himself, so I am confident it won't happen again."

The Austrian will serve a three-match ban for his actions now as the Hammers will be travelling to St. James Park this weekend to open their points account after two consecutive losses.
