Stoke City open talks with PSG over deal for attacker Jese Rodriguez

London, Aug 14: English Premier League outfit Stoke City are on the verge of agreeing on the loan signing of Jese Rodriguez from Paris Saint-Germain, according to reports.

It was earlier reported that the 24-year-old had penned down a two-year loan deal with Italian side Fiorentina with advanced talks. However, it looks like the deal has now been called off as Jese is holding out for a move to Stoke City in the Premier League.

The previous Real Madrid forward, who spent last season on loan at Las Palmas, is reportedly made it sure that he wants to play under Mark Hughes for the upcoming season, and a declaration of the same is expected to be very soon.

Rodriguez featured for Los Blancos in his initial career but has neglected to set up himself as a regular player since moving to France.

The landing of Neymar in his record-breaking £198million move to the Parc des Princes also made it significantly more improbable for Jese to have a future at the club.

The Spanish striker made only eight starts for PSG last term following his £22.5million move from Madrid in 2015 and the French giants now want recover everything of that transfer money from such a deal charge.

Stoke manager Mark Hughes has also affirmed that he would like to get another central forward to his team after letting go Marko Arnautovic and Jon Walters to West Ham and Burnley respectively.

He has already acquired the service of attacker Max Choupo-Moting in a free transfer and furthermore with the Signing of Jese, it would be a remarkable move for the Potters.
