London, August 17: Championship side Fulham have rejected a £25 million bid from Tottenham Hotspur for highly-rated teenage left-back Ryan Sessegnon, according to reports.
The 17-year-old Sessegnon is one of the brightest young talents in England football and has been playing in the first team regularly since the last season.
The youngster scored five goals for Fulham last season and signed a three-year professional contract in June. He was also named in the Championship Team of the Year for last season and impressed a lot with his displays from left-back. He also helped his team win the European U19 Championships this year, finishing the tournament as joint top-scorer from full-back (with three goals).
The talented English kid had also attracted interest from Manchester United and Liverpool earlier, however, according to reports, it is Spurs who have now made the first move for him.
According to reports, Spurs made an offer of just below the £25.5 million, however, the bid was soon rejected as Fulham are apparently seeking up to £50 million for the teenager.
The transfer activity comes to the light just days after Spurs left-back Danny Rose created a dispute with remarks that he would take a move away from the club in search of more money and trophies.
The North London outfit, who are yet to bring in any new signings in the transfer window this summer, have been also linked with Paris Saint German right-back Serge Aurier and Barcelona midfielder Dennis Suarez.
The London club are also believed to be interested in Ryan's twin brother Steven who gained his first team debut in the EFL Cup against Wycombe in August last year, however, apparently, no concrete offer has been made yet.
